Q: What About Kettlebells? Aren’t They Better Than Dumbbells?
A: No? Kettlebells aren’t BETTER than Dumbbells. And Dumbbells aren’t BETTER than Kettlebells. They are both tools that you may use to get in some of the best shape ever.
Just think…. If you hired a plumber to come to your home to fix your toilet and he showed up with nothing but a hammer. You’d be pretty upset.

Because you know that “one tool” cannot do the job. Such is the case with strength training. Just having one tool to do the job. If you want to be in “business”, you’re going to have to put some tools in your tool belt. Personally, everyone that I know who uses Kettlebells, uses Dumbbells as well. It’s just the smart thing to do for TOTAL Body Development. It will also allow you to jump higher, leap further, throw harder, and move better. But, no, it won’t get you into wrestling shape. In order to get into “wrestling shape”, you will have to wrestle! Now, The Maximum Dumbbell Training DVD can create an excellent platform for you to work from in order for you to get back on the mat. But it will not get you into “wrestling shape”. I’ll be completely honest with you. But it will get you in GREAT shape.
Q: Will I need any extra equipment? I know this is a dumbbell video, but will I need anything like a stability ball, a bench, or something like that? Rhadi, a lot of people make these DVDs and then after you get them, you find out that you need a bunch of other stuff in order to do the exercises. And to be completely honest with you that really pissses me off and I don’t want to be upset.
A: (laughing) I understand you don’t want to be upset and I don’t want you to be upset either (smile). And I know exactly what you mean. The last company I was associated with did that and I didn’t like it one bit. My goal is not to provide you with an “incomplete” resource. Q: Rhadi, Is this a training video for professional athletes or is it for us regular people?
A: Great question. The answer is YES! It is for both groups of individuals.
As a strength and conditioning professional I can honestly tell you that in most cases, not all, but most – the exercise for the professional athlete and the “regular person” are absolutely the same. Let’s take a look at running. Running is for everyone, but professionals run a little bit more and a little bit harder than others.
Thus the difference in the workout is in the intensity not the exercise. The same goes for walking. Professional race walkers definitely walk faster than the casual exerciser who uses walking for its aerobic benefits, but walking is for EVERYONE, the intensity separates the professional athlete from the recreational athlete.
Therefore, my DVD is for everyone and I’ve made it for everyone. If you are an elite athlete or professional athlete, you can perform the exercises with heavier dumbbells and with less rest. If you are a “regular person” you can stick to the beginning circuits and the movements which are better for you and you can use very light dumbbells like those which weight 5, 10 or fifteen pounds.
