"I believe that this will make a huge difference..."

My Name is Eric Shellum. I have been playing Judo for 47 years. I had my day competing and did very well. I wish I had the information that is in the Underground Gripfighting Secrets then. I could have done better than I did. I am teaching my players what is in the Underground Gripfighting Secrets and I believe that this will make a huge difference in their Judo and their competition.

"you'll immediately be able to utilize something from watching this material the first time..."

Information overload is the best way to describe Underground Gripfighting Secrets. You will need to continuously go over this material to reap the full benefits. Which is how I believe this tool was intended to be used. However, I sincerely believe you'll immediately be able to utilize something from watching this material the first time. I'm extremely pleased with this product and can't recommend it enough.

"Underground Gripfighting Secrets is an excellent way to learn..."

Whether you're a Jiu-jitsuka, Judoka, or Sambo stylist, Underground Gripfighting Secrets is an excellent way to learn the intricacies of this little-known aspect of grappling. All competitive matches start with gripping and an in-depth knowledge of the art will grant a solid advantage to the practitioner. Your success will skyrocket with this knowledge!

"definitely a tool that every combat sport competitor needs..."

I have been training in Judo for the last four years. I am very obsessive about learning, but grip fighting is a topic that is not readily available - nor is it taught in great detail. Underground Gripfighting Secrets is definitely a tool that every combat sport competitor needs. After receiving the information, I immediately read the material and watched the DVD's.

I then took that information to my next Judo training session and immediately I noticed an improvement in control of my training partners - this includes my instructor.
Employing these techniques also opened up new avenues of attacks that I did not have available to me before. Everyone at class noticed that I was dominating the randori sessions. These techniques will improve anybody's game and are definitely necessary for anyone who wants to move up to the elite comptitor level.

The gripfighting series of Jimmy Pedro and Rhadi Ferguson is a fantastic contribution to competitive judo. Don't re-invent the wheel! Instead, make an investment in yourself and your players and purchase this series!

"invaluable tools..."

Grip Like A World Champion and Underground Gripfighting Secrets are invaluable tools. There are no other DVD series focusing on Gripping and Gripfighting like this that I am aware of. The real benefit here is the organizational and methodological approach in which the techniques are presented. Thank you Jimmy and Rhadi!

"icing on the cake..."

I thought I learned it all in, "Grip Like A World Champion" , but "Underground Gripfighting Secrets" put the icing on the cake. The techniques and strategies shown in this video have already helped me frustrate more technically proficient and physically stronger players in just two workouts.

My understanding of gripfighting has been increased 1000 percent.
To those of you who want to compete at any level the information contained on these disk is indispensible. After you watch these disk, watch them again and again. Then, go watch a judo tournament and see how the techniques apply on the mat.

You may not necessarily see the sequences shown by Jimmy and Rhadi ,but you will have a better understanding of the 75/25 principle which is the key to thowing your opponent. P.S. Since learning these techniques, I have leagally changed my middle name to OSOTO GARI.

"a must-have set..."

I have watched the DVD set and consider it a must-have set. The majority of judoka in North America do not have a coach that has the knowledge to systematically and technically impart the techniques of grip fighting. While most have us have been taught the tache-waza and ne-waza of Judo, most of us haven't been taught to play the game. This has created two classes of Judoka - Those who think they know Judo and those who know Judo. This set has unlocked the missing component of my Judo game and furthermore, when I'm done competing, I'm going to have the knowledge to teach Judoka how to compete.

Whether you are a competitor or a recreationalist, knowing how to grip is not optional if you want to learn or teach Judo. Thank-you both, because of you two, judoka's don't have to be short-changed because they don't live in the hometown of an Olympian. I firmly believe by making this information available, you are revolutionizing the overall technical dept...

"If you don't control your opponent your not gonna throw him..."

I love it! The audio format works great for me because I spend much time driving. It allows me to be productive even while driving. There so much information that I'm still trying to digesting it all. However, the number one thing I've learned is importance of getting a dominant grip to control your opponent. If you don't control your opponent your not gonna throw him and your gonna get thrown in the process. I now have a systemized plan of attack instead of just flailin my hands around randomly griping and releasing my opponent like I use to do. The only downside is I can't wait to get my hands on the next product concerning grip fighting.

"the Grind package gave me a better understanding..."

Rhadi, the Grind package gave me a better understanding about the Judo game and why I need to add it to my game. In fact I'm going to sign up for Judo tonight! The reason why is because I'm a BJJ player and I need to work on my stand up game and I love the grip fighting, lock them down in their own straight jacket! But more importantly it is a motivational tool I use to train because I travel to attend my BJJ classes 2 x a week and here's a little break down of my schedule: Tue/Thu I wake up at 6:30am, work from 8:00-6:00, Im on the road by 6:30pm to make the 8:00-9:30 class and I get back home around 11:00 and im in bed by 12:00. So as you can see I really need to be motivated to continue this routine. I love the educational pieces of the matches you provide and the audio cd's I listen to when I travel an hour to train because it furthers my knowledge in Judo and grappling. Thanks Rhadi, you did an awesome job with the Grind and it will improve my game for sure!

"I found to be very helpful and interesting..."

I first listened to a teleseminar on gripping from Rhadi Ferguson and Jimmy Pedro which I found to be very helpful and interesting. So when they offered the grip to win package I took advantage and got it. It was great, and I could not wait to take the knowledge from the audio CD's and share it with the other members of my club. I have listened to the CD's several times and I get more each time I listen. I definately recommend this product. Great Job Rhadi and Jimmy. I can't wait to get the Grip Like a Champion Video also.

"I was amazed at how useful your "Grip to Win" series was..."

Hello Rhadi & Jimmy, This year marks my 46th year in Judo. I'm the age my senseis were when I started. I guess I'm considered one of those "Old Senseis" now. The main reason I pruchased your "Grip to Win" series was to teach my students girpping techniques. Though I prefer tradiitional techniques, I am not so old that I fail to recognize that "whom ever gets the first grip ususally wins!". In my competative days you just walked up to your opponent got a hold of his lapel and sleeve and tried to throw him. Your opponent did much the same. There was little strategy in gripping.

I had no clue as to how to advise my students on the current methods of how to grip, much less how to grip effectively. I recently competed in Miami at the USA Judo Senior Nationals Masters Competition. My last competition was over 11 years ago. Needless to say I was somewhat concerned about coming up against new gripping techniques. I was amazed at how useful your "Grip to Win" series was for me. I'm not sure how effectively I utilized your advice, but knowing your techniques for gripping gave me the confidence to go out and compete again. I managed to tkae a third place in my division. Again thanks for giving me added confidence in my gripping techniques. Now if you could have just put out a series of reminders for the "Older Senseis", not to step out of bounds and time management techniques when your leading, I may have had a higher finish. These are the things that I advise my own students. Again thanks for your most useful series "Grip to Win".

"It is worth the money..."

I have forgotten more judo than most people know. That's my problem - I've forgotten it! No, seriously. I won the world championships and then went on to raise children, found a business and teach judo two or three times a week.

When I listen to these tapes or read the transcripts, they are a really useful reminder of things I know but don't always do in practice or teaching because judo is NOT my full-time job. Almost every judo instructor like me does not have the luxury of thinking about judo all day long.

It is great to be able to review and remember, "Oh, yeah, I KNOW that I should never switch from right to left, just because I am having trouble getting a right grip." Once you are no longer competing, it is easy to get lazy, sloppy or just plain busy and make mistakes when you really know better or forget to emphasize things you should.

Unless you are perfect, this package is a great reminder for any experienced coach of the things you know but don't always teach on a regular basis. It is worth the money. And no, not only did I not get paid for writing this but I didn't even get a 10% discount on the package!

"Jimmy Pedro is by far the best gripper..."

Jimmy Pedro is by far the best gripper that the United States has ever produced. He's a gripfighting genius! I moved to Massachusetts just so I could improve my gripfighting and my newaza. He's retired and he's still sharp as a tack.

"Since I've been practicing with Jimmy, my gripfighting has improved tremendously..."

Since I've been practicing with Jimmy, my gripfighting has improved tremendously. I won the New York Open by implementing the same exact gripping strategies that Jimmy teaches in practice and that you will hear inside of the Grip To Win Series. I can tell you one thing about Jimmy; Jimmy is the best in the world at gripfighting and his knowledge surpasses anything that I've ever seen. I still learn something new everytime I step on the mat.

"Rhadi is a tactician and a strategist when it comes to gripfighting..."

Rhadi is a tactician and a strategist when it comes to gripfighting. To say that he knows his stuff in an understatement. You can actually see that he learned a great deal from Jimmy Pedro and Eddie Liddie. His gripfighting knowledge is top notch and it's great for me because not only is he my strength and conditioning coach, but he also helps me with my Judo because we have similar explosive judo styles. I can truly say that he helped me tremendously become one of the top 10 judo players in the World in 2005!

"I work on gripfighting every morning..."

Rhadi and I work on gripfighting every morning before our 5:30 AM training session. He knows how to break down video tape and implement strategies in order to put the right game plan in place in order to win. Now that I understand how to grip fight, I will retire as the number one heavyweight in the weight class .

"My hats off to both Rhadi and Jimmy; for creating such a fantastic tool..."

I am a former Division IA collegiate and professional football player who upon retiring from football decided to put on a Gi and try my hand at Judo. I have been in Judo for a total 6 months and have been competing for the last 3 months. My experience in the sport has been bitter/sweet thus far.

While I have very good physical attributes such as quickness, power, and dynamic flexibility, I found myself getting tossed around by weaker but much more experienced players. That was until I got my hands on the "Grip to Win Package" by Jimmy Pedro and Rhadi Ferguson! Now I'm able to express my true power while dominating my opponent with my grips.

Two weekends ago I had a match against a player with over 17+ years of experience in the sport and a very talented young judoka in his own right. As we were preparing to bow in and get on the mat, I could tell (via body language) that I was just some "chump" to him that he was going to use as his warm up set. Well, after a minute of me laying the "SMACK DOWN" on him with the grip sequences that I learned from Jimmy and Rhadi's grip curriculum, he was definitely giving me more respect out there on the mat. The "Grip to Win Package" has elevated my game exponentially.

Just by changing my gripping strategy, I have made it almost impossible for my opponents' to come in clean and throw me. I have only had the Grip to Win Package for four weeks...imagine what I'll be able to do in four more months with this knowledge?! My hats off to both Rhadi and Jimmy; for creating such a fantastic tool and elevating the play of any judoka, samboist, or bjj practitioner.

"Underground Grip Fighting Secrets and Grip Like A World Champion are both Incredible products and customer service is fantastic..."

I run a judo/submission grappling training facility in Michigan and there has always been a dearth of information on grip fighting techniques. We were always forced to just observe competition footage to pick up tactics/techniques. Jimmy Pedro's material is fantastic, and is made even better by the incredible detail provided on Mr. Ferguson's DVD's. I would recommend this package to anyone at any level!!! It is well worth the money, and is supported by an excellent customer service team.

Thanks again,

"Received my copy of the "Grip to Win" package last night and I tore right into it..."

Hi Rhadi, Received my copy of the "Grip to Win" package last night. I tore into it and listened to all three CD's. My Impression? What have I been doing? I have been gripping all wrong. That "Killing the power side" IMHO was worth the price of the package alone. If I only perfect " The Standard" alone I will be a happy Judoka. I am looking forward to "Gripping and Ripping" at randori tonight using some of the techniques. :-) When you see Jimmy next time thank him too.

"I had the privilege of competing against Rhadi Ferguson in 2005..."

I had the privilege of competing against Rhadi Ferguson in 2005 and am grateful for that opportunity. When I hear my friends brag about going to fantasy baseball camp and facing Reggie Jackson, I reply with how I battled the best conditioned heavyweight athlete I have ever seen...........but it was AFTER I fought Rhadi where I learned something valuable from him. The value of sport specific conditioning.

I bought Rhadi's no-gi grappling circuit, threw in some of my own calisthenics, and became better at age 39 than when I was 30 and just getting into the sport. My conditioning is now a weapon, where it had once been a weak area. I always trained hard, but wasn't aware that I was training incorrectly for combat sports. Rhadi educated me on the proper way to prepare for tournaments and I recently surpassed 60 career 1st place finishes in no-gi competition. I feel better and more fit now at age 39 than I did 10 years ago. As for Rhadi's DVDs being too expensive, my reply is that I spent $40 for his no-gi circuit, while a grappling tournament entry fee is often $80 or more. To me, $40 to enhance my performance and no longer gas out in competition is a bargain. If Rhadi can change my game at my age, imagine what he can do for you."
